Street Sweepers

Request:

Because the water pressure was dependent on the PTO speed, as the sweeper was driving down the road the water pressure would change.

 

Solution:

In order for the water pump to maintain a constant water pressure that was independent of the sweeper speed a custom electronics was created. A standard actuator was used to stroke the pump and the new electronics monitored the water pressure. We also designed a custom control panel for the cab.

Requirements met for our customer:

• While operating the equipment the user doesn't have to monitor and manually change the water pressure.
• Customer mount and control panel
• Operator efficiency and saftey improvement
